72% of Adults Send More Text Messages

According to the report, texting between adults is getting higher, with over 72 percent of those above 18 applying the technology, but their practice still light in link to texting between teenagers, who send a standard of five times as countless texts as their adult corresponding person.

Based on the study of the Pew Internet and American Life Project, out of 2,252 people, 72 percent of adults said they sent text messages in May 2010, against 65 percent of people surveyed in September 2009.

Adult texters are sending a regular of 10 texts a day, whereas individuals ages 12 to 17 are sending around 50 texts a day. There are several creative adult texters – concerning 5 percent of adults send 200 texts a day or more; teens do the same with around 5 percent.
