Kudos to Apple Inc., which has achieved the “25-billion-apps-downloaded” target. As well as an even bigger congratulations to the person that will win the desired $10,000 App Store gift certificate for being the only one to made the coveted milestone possible.
The Cupertino-based company made the statement through a vibrant banner on its site recently, showing customers: “A billion thanks. 25 times over. The App Store has reached 25 billion downloads. Thanks for getting us there.”
Apple have been keeping a “25-Billion-Apps-Countdown” since Feb. 13 and stated that the victor of the contest will be shown online in about 10 days after the conclusion of the promotion time period.
Customers that downloaded an application were instantly signed into the contest, individuals may also get into by way of a “non-purchase method” that included completing a web-based entry form.
The reward is going to be given for the entry either through an application download or with the non-purchase form – “sent immediately following the download of the 24,999,999,999th app,” Apple Inc. said.
Last December, competitor Google proclaimed that its Android Market had surpassed the 10-billion-app-downloads. The internet Giant commemorated the milestone by offering picked apps for 10 cents for a very limited time.
