While rumors of the full-sized iPad which is due to come out this month continues to spread in the internet, another reports suggest that the Cupertino, California-based company will instead start the production of the next tablet in their iPad line, the iPad 5, this summer.
Reports came straight from the Taiwan tech news site, DigiTimes, which has also reported some rumors about Apple devices that came out to be true.
According to the report, the iPad 5th-gen is said to be thinner and lighter than the 4th-gen version with a design same that of the iPad mini. Screen, of course, will be retina display and will be produced by Sharp and LG, and touch panels will be produced by TPK, a Taiwan-based manufacturer of touch panels.
A source from iMore, Rene Ritchie, said that this new iPad is said to be an April-release tablet and Apple is going to have an event for it whenever it’s ready.
There were so many rumors about the release dates. Others report that it will come out on October and the latest is it will come out this month. Last year, Apple surprisingly released two iPads, the third-generation with Retina display followed with the fourth-gen with a Factime HD camera and a faster lightning connector.
With the released of iPad mini last year, sales were getting even more bigger and it was reported that it is starting to outsell the full-sized iPads. It seems that it will be dominating the smaller sized tablets out in the market today.
