Apple Inc. has reportedly begun the assembly of the iPhone 5 in preparation for the launching this October.
Macotakara, a Chinese-based source stated that Pegatron and Foxconn have begun assembling the iPhone 5 preparing for the early launch this October in the U.S. and late October launch in Asia. Launching for other countries is not yet mentioned.
The report also said the once these units are assembled, they are not going to be boxed up yet. This is because Apple Inc. said that they are not ready to install the latest iOS 5 for the iPhone but apparently it will happen later.
About the rumors and lost iPhone prototype.
Early August, there are reports that Apple ordered 10 million units of iPhone 5 from Pegatron and that the company will begin delivering them to Apple in September which goes exactly with the latest reports. A photograph taken from the plant that belongs to Wintek last month (August) shows an iPhone 5 in production.
Several parts of the latest iPhone 5 went into production last July, according to the reports from Digitimes, and since then there have been numerous mystery parts seen that could be for iPhone 4s or iPhone 5.
