The much-awaited sequel of 2009’s Batman: Arkham Asylum is expected to be released this coming fall of 2011.
Batman: Arkham Asylum is “an action-adventure stealth video game based on DC Comic’s Batman for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.” This video game was developed by Rocksteady Studios and was published by Eidos Interactive in cooperation with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics.
On the first release of the video game, the audience accepted it with 92% average on GameRankings, a game aggregator. It was also recognized by the Guinness World Records as the “Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever” and gained the Best Game BAFTA Award. With these recognitions the game had received, there is no surprise that the public is anticipating for the upcoming sequel of the game.
Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive had already launched the official web site of the video game so that the general public can easily access details of the much-awaited sequel of the game.
The new video game is given the line as “the new maximum security ‘home’ for all of Gotham city’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminals and their masterminds,” by the Warner Bros.
Batman: Arkham City is soon to be featured in a copy of the September issue of Game Informer. In this special appearance, the Arkham City will be shown to the public as a teaser only. Features of the web site will be shown in the magazine.
