Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former US President Bill Clinton, married her long-time boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky at an exclusive estate at New York’s Hudson River.
The wedding ceremony was attended by a number of 400 family and friends. Chelsea’s parents, former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, gave an official statement that says, “Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts surrounded by family and close friends.” The Clintons were so happy that Marc is finally part of their family.
The ceremony was conducted by a rabbi and a reverend. Chelsea as the bride is a Methodist and Marc as the groom is a Jew. Included in the ceremony was reading of a poem by the newlyweds. The poem’s title is The Life I Have written by Leo Marks.
Their wedding ceremony was packed with stars such as actress Mary Steenburgen, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, actor Ted Danson, film producer Steven Bing, and some figures of politicians like congressmen and other prominent Democrats.
According to reports, the bride’s wedding gown was designed by Vera Wang. Before the day of the wedding, Wang was hounded by paparazzi when she was seen at a restaurant on Mill Street. Fortunately, Wang got her way out from the paparazzi and sped his car away from the place.
The couple, reportedly, have been living together even before their marriage at their apartment in downtown New York.
