The world’s popular networking site, Facebook, has announced another feature that is hitting the block again – it’s the “Subscribe” button. Facebook users can now decide and fully control what they want to see in their news feeds and follow easily to the users who are not their friends on the network.
This “subscribe” button gives more control over the feeds allowing you to see only important announcements from friends and block those friend whose feeds that aren’t interesting at all or spam posts, a feature that has been lacking in the past. Facebook users who keep complaining about the spammers are now going to be happy – it looks like this button is made for them.
This new button from Facebook seems to be influenced by Google’s social network, Google+. Facebook announced Tuesday that this button makes it simpler to put friends into groups. Just like Google+ of Twitter who popularized the “follow” word, users can follow other user profile without having to invite them or becoming their friends. Anyone who enables the “Subscribe” button will allow others to have the option to view tweets or announcements that are marked as “Public”. But all users don’t have to worry about this new feature since this is optional and opt-in.
