Facebook Decided to Pay $10 Million to Settle Case Filed by 5 Users

Facebook is again facing a lawsuit but this time its not against a big company. This case is filed by five angry users of the social network who were claiming that Facebook used their names in the advertisements without their consent.

Facebook has decided to pay $10 million dollars to settle the case. The social network company is now reviewing the case and they said that the suit is without merit.

The plaintiffs will not receive anything from the amount that Facebook decided to pay, instead, it will go to the charity. Before wrapping up the case, the judge still needs to approve the settlement deal.

There are no reports that Facebook will change some of the policies that they have in the sponsored stories advertising policy.
