12th Anniversary Cake for Google Doodle Today

Another day means another Google Doodle, yet this one’s a little special.  As the search engine giant rejoiced for its 12th anniversary, they get to share a birthday cake with millions of users.

As featured from TheTelegraph, they have recognized that the birthday cake painting was made by Wayne Thiebaud, an 89-year old artist from Los Angeles.

Cake for Google Doodle

Dissimilar to other preceding doodles, there are no particular characteristics which interrelate with users as they click the logo, instead it’s a simple cake with a birthday candle substituting the letter ‘L’ in the word ‘Google’.

The performer is in fact famous for painting other cakes in his paintings, most of them are invented in the 1950s and 1960s.

What are your opinions on this ‘Pop Art’ style birthday cake? Do you prefer these undemanding doodles to the interactive ones?
