In what appears to be increasing pressure among the two big internets, Google has changed the Facebook app for Android phones, the BBC reports.

The BBC said that information to the app will take away all of a user’s Facebook links from their Android address book. Google informed the British news outlet it is forcing the social system to fulfill with its data-sharing system

Previous to this, consumers could bring in their Facebook contacts into their address book of the phone, but all the information could not be exported from the gadget and in its place stayed in the management of social network, according to BBC.

Google Gets Rid of Facebook Contact

Google said in a statement, “Since Facebook contacts cannot be exported from the device, the appearance of integration created a false sense of data portability.”

In the previous year, in November, the search giant started blocking Facebook from importing users’ Gmail contact data, a progress countered by the social network much to disappointment of Google.
