Today, HTC unveils its first two Windows Phone 7.5 which supports the “Mango” OS. It includes the HTC Titan, a monster of the smart phones with a huge 4.7” screen and has the fastest processors among any other Windows Phone released. The Titan handles 1.5 Ghz Qualcomm processor which makes a big difference and user experience in terms of Web browsing and mobile gaming.
The other phone is named Radar. Of the two, it is clear that the HTC Titan is the leader. It is huge and gigantic black slab – 5.2 x 2.2 x .4 inches and only weighs 5.6 oz, it’s clearly bigger than it’s cousin HTC Sensation, which is already huge at its size. The 4.7” screen only has 800 x 400 resolution, this is a requirement of Microsoft, but HTC cited out that it makes touch target applications like excel and any other apps easier to hit.
The phone is covered in matte black metal and plastic, it has a solid and heavy feel just like the already successful phone and its another cousin HTC EVO 4G by sprint. This phone is features a 1.3 megapixel camera in the front and an 8 megapixel camera on the back, it has 16 GB of storage space which is good for music lovers. Titan and Radar doesn’t come with the popular chat software Skype but they have Tango which is a new video chat software so users can still use the front camera.
The Titan boasts its processor. Microsoft requires the Qualcomm 8255 series 2 processors for the new Mango phones and almost all of the 8255 based phones only run at 1Ghz, except the Titan, it is clocked to 1.5 Ghz and shows amazing increased performance
