iPhone 5 in China sells 2M units on first week

The iPhone 5 launch of Apple in China had already sold about two million devices and it’s just about three days. Today, Apple has announced that the company’s latest model of its very famous smartphone is selling very fast in this country.

According to the CEO of the tech giant Tim Cook, the response of the customers towards iPhone 5 in China has been very awesome, which set a new record high with the best sales on the first weekend ever to happen in this country. China has been a very important market for the company and Apple customers just cannot wait to get a hold of the device.

The iPhone 5 sale started on Thursday and even before that day, people in China couldn’t just wait to purchase the smartphone. There were already hundreds of thousands of reservations through their online site. As of now, the unit is available through famous China carriers like China Unicom and China Telecom.
