Shipments of HTC’s Evo 4G LTE and HTC One X were delayed by the International Trade Commission for investations, some shipments were held back. The units were the first devices to face delay by the customs to investation about the patent infringement case filed by Apple.
Apple won several exclusion order to stop the shipments of HTC Android devices at the ITC on December 2011. The commission discovered that Android’s browser and messaging application infringed the patent #5946647 by Apple – this patent covers the convertion of email addresses and phone numbers into links that opens up to a lot of options.

“The US availability of the HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order. We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval. The HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE have been received enthusiastically by customers and we appreciate their patience as we work to get these products into their hands as soon as possible.”
