LG’s LTE smartphones to sell up 5 million units

On Wednesday, LG has declared their 4G LTE smartphones international sales have increase to five million units, way up from three million units last May.

LG, a South Korean vendor currently is offering LTE smartphones in over ten countries. It is planning to double its aim by the end of this year. The Optimus LTE of the company is its most famous handset, with sales amounting to two million units. On the other hand, the Optimus Vu smartphone-tablet hybrid has sales of over 500,000 units since March, as well as the Optimus LTE II in May.

According to a statement of the President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company, Dr. Jong-seok Park, the sales of global LTE smartphones are projected to gain ten times more for 2012 compared from last year. Park further added that they plan to launch a more impressive line-up of LTE smartphones for the following months.
