On Tuesday, the two largest low-cost wireless carriers in the country have agreed to join together and merge their companies — MetroPCS and T-Mobile USA.
The two companies have been going through a struggle when it comes to network technology. Even though they are still getting profits from their business, they still are far behind from their competitors, which leads to the shedding off of their customers.
As a result of the agreed merging, the company will be named as T-Mobile. The company will have a total of 42.5 million subscribers arounf the nations, 9.3 million from MetroPCS while there is 33.2 million from T-Mobile USA.
Their sales annually is estimated to be about $25 billion and about $1.5 billion of estimated cost savings. According to the company, since they are now combined as well as their wireless spectrum, finances and customers will be a helpful tool in giving the company the resources and scale it needs to be successful in the market.
