Most Commonly Used iPhone Passcodes

iPhone PasscodesTo put a PIN code for your phone is a good idea in case it’s lost or stolen.  However, you have to speculate why several people bother, because, according to one software developer, the most common option is 1234.

Daniel Amitay made an app named Big brother Camera Security, which gets a photo of anybody utilizing the phone of the customer and which now as well phone home namelessly with the selected PIN code.

Amitay says that several people are terribly unimaginative. The top choice, 1234 was got by 4.3% of users and 0000 by 2.6%.  Next were 2580, 1111, 5555, and 5683.

He added, the top ten codes, account for 15% of the entire passcodes in use.

While 2580 might not be clear, it runs straight up the phone keyboard; 0850, the 7th most well-known option, runs the other way.

He says, “Most of the top passcodes follow typical formulas, such as four identical digits, moving in a line up/down the pad, repetition.”

“5683 is the passcode with the least obvious pattern, but it turns out that it is the number representation of LOVE (5683), once again mimicking a very common internet password: ‘iloveyou’.”

Amitay recommends, somewhat reasonably that for the reason of his App’s password setup are extremely the same to the actual iPhone lock screen, some people will be using the same number for both.

Furthermore Graham Cluley of security firm Sophos has one more point to create:  “What’s the four-digit PIN you use at the bank’s ATM cash machine?”
