President Obama showed sympathy about Mr. Jobs too. In a statement he released, he described Steve Jobs as one of “the greatest of American innovators” who showed the U.S.’s ingenuity. “There may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented,” According to President Obama.
The news spread very fast, many forwarded it as they receive through their iPads, iPhones, and Macintoshes. It is clear that these devices that he created had become so important in their daily lives.
People who became fans of Steve Jobs offered tribute in a more traditional way, moment of silence and flowers. Outside the Apple store on the Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, people displayed two bouquets of flowers and candles on Wednesday. Some sat around the store and used their Apple devices showing their grief.
Around 11 at night, people outside the store is getting thick and becoming even more crowded. About 40 people stood outside and talked about Steve Jobs, some took photos of the building even if the iconic glass tube exterior was covered for remodeling.
In an Apple store in New York, someone left an apple with a bite in it copying the Apple logo. A one note read “iThankYou”. In Cupertino, California, Apple’s headquarters, flowers are also seen outside.
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder said in his site “Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend. Thanks for showing that what you build can change the world. I will miss you.”
