Right after attending the Royal wedding, Prince Charles is going to return to his Royal duties and will visit the newly transformed Royal Shakespeare Theatre for a gala performance.
Since it revived to the public previous year following a three- year £113 million transformation programme the visit marks the first official visit to the latest theatre by the Prince of Wales.
Prince Charles hosted a generous party at Buckingham Palace to commemorate the marriage of his son Prince William to Kate Middletonlast Friday night, April 29.
Over a million people assembled on the streets of London to observe the Royal Wedding while an anticipated two billion observed the occasion throughout the world.
Throughout his visit to the 1,000-seat venue, Prince Charles will watch a production of Macbeth being staged as part of a series of plays observing the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 50th anniversary.
The chairman of RSC, Sir Christopher Bland; Michael Boyd, artistic director, and Vikki Heywood, executive director will greet Charles to the theatre.
Because the modernized building opened in November previous year, about 160,000 visitors have passed during its doors and over 10,500 tickets have been sold for offstage tours.
