Samsung introduces new breed on its full-packed devices

Samsung has introduced another breed to the family of SmartPCs, smartphones, and tablets named as ATIV on Thursday.

The new additional breed is based on Windows Phone 8 for the new smartphone line, and Windows RT and Windows 8 for SmartPCs and tablets. According to Samsung, the branding is just a conversal of the word VITA, a Latin word for “LIFE.” This theme signifies the promise of the company to make the lives of everyong extraordinary.

The announcement of the company has launched its newest 11.6-inch ATIV Smart PC Pro, 4.8-inch ATIV S, 11.6-inch ATIV Smart PC, and 10.1-inch ATIV Tab.

Samsung explained that the new breeds are styled creatively and are ultra-portable with a thickness of only 9.9mm and 11.9mm. The company further confirmed that the performances of these devices are not compromised.

The new ATIV Smart PC Pro has a powerful Intel Core i5 processor, which can manage demanding professional usage and consumption for multimedia aspects. The other two new Windows 8 devices will have an advanced ten-finger multi-touch screen, miniSD, two extra USB 2.0 ports on the keyboard, mHDMI, USB 2.0 for Smart PC and USB 3.0 for Smart PC Pro.

Windows RT Tablet features a 10.1-inch display, 570g in weightm and a thickness of 8.9mm, offering latest versions of Microsoft applications.

For the smartphone, it will feature HSPA+42 connectivity, 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, and a 1.5 GHz dual-core SoC.
