The company has made clear, until May 31 Sony’s PlayStation Network of Sony might not be completely up and running online.
Shigenori Yoshida, PlayStation Tokyo representative said Sony was still “uncertain” when it can resume the complete suite of PSN services, counting music service Qriocity.
He further said that the preparation to return online by May 31 was “unchanged” – even though his remark comes after Sony said it desired to start again a partial PSN service by the ending of last week.
Spokesperson Nick Caplin has clarified, “When we held the press conference in Japan last week, based on what we knew, we expected to have the services online within a week.”
He added, “We were unaware of the extent of the attack on Sony Online Entertainment servers, and we are taking this opportunity to conduct further testing of the incredibly complex system.”
